Love This Tape
As much as a person can love tape, this is great stuff. I am an architect and have been drafting by hand for over 45 years so I have used a lot of drafting tape. I think this is the best I have used. This sticks well and still lifts up without damaging regular paper or tracing paper or leaving residue. It still tends to roll up under a parallel bar but it seems to hold a little better than other brands. It has other uses as well. I was decorating for a party at my house and I used this tape to hold up swags of material. To my surprise, it held firm without damaging the walls. I also suspended it between two wall to simulate the slope of the ceiling for some rooms I was designing in an attic space. From my tape line slope, I dropped more lines of tape to simulate where a planned wall would meet the ceiling. Then, I thought about it for some months. The tape held the whole time and released without damage when I finally took it down. I definitely recommend it.5/2019 Update: I was using this tape from a subsequent order the other day and it wasn't sticking worth a darn. I saw it looked wavy on the roll as if it had been sitting in water. I am thinking it has not been exposed to excess humidity or water and may have been delivered that way, can't be sure. Anyway, do be sure to inspect your tape upon delivery to see that it it is evenly rolled onto its roll and return/exchange it if it isn't.

Great tape for paper and cardstock, just not for watercolor paper! UPDATE: Works great on Hot-Pressed
It's my fault for not researching this tape more. I would highly recommend you look elsewhere if you plan to use this for watercolor paper. No matter the paper I use (cheap, professional) this tears my paper when it comes time to remove it.I was able to salvage my work by trimming off the ruined edges with a craft knife, but you may not want to do this with your work.Search for artist tape instead if that's the intended use!UPDATE: I tried this on Arches Hot-Pressed Watercolor paper and it worked like a charm. Did not tear my paper up or remove an fibers/pulp from the paper. So perhaps it just depends on the quality and tooth of the paper.

Useless for Watercolor Painting
I ordered 2 rolls of this tape and am sorry I did. This tape does NOT stick and is a waste of money. I do watercolor painting and wanted to use it to tape down the edges of my paper. Doesn't stay stuck to my painting board for even 2 minutes. DON'T Buy this tape unless you don't want it to adhere to your project.

Strong, but
This is not suitable for use with paper. Aldo keep it away from any guilding. It will lift it off.

Perfect for adding clear borders to watercolor paintings
This tape is perfect for adding clear borders to watercolor paintings. Its adhesion is good enough to not let water seep under the tape while not tearing the paper or leaving adhesive when the tape is removed. I used it on Canson XL cold pressed wood pulp paper and it worked great. I assume it would work well on cotton paper too, but I have not tried it on cotton paper yet.

Not enough stick!
I bought hoping the tape wouldn’t stick to my paintings but hold to board. It didn’t stick at all.

Tape it up.
It's masking tape, I guess. It works great for holding my Vellum Paper to paper maps and other prints for tracing purposes. Some types of paper it will peal a microscopic layer off but most of what I have used it on has not hurt the paper and I was able to pull the tape off when done with no adverse effects. Just pull off slow, carefully, and don't let it stay taped for any long period. Sometimes if I'm taping to a delicate spot, I will rub my finger across the sticky side of the tape a couple times to decrease it's stickiness. Works great.
