A review from one blind persons opinion… I purchased this product to use after having had surgery and being left with significant scars. So far, hard to tell if it is really making a difference, or if simply using it to massage the scars is what is truly reducing them. My biggest complaint is the odor of this product. It almost smells like the paste we used to use in kindergarten! It is not a pleasant smell, and my spouse complains about it regularly. I would definitely not recommend using it if you were planning to be close to other people. It does contain many ingredients that are highly recommended to reduce scarring, so that is good news. If you can get past the smell I would recommend giving it a try. As far as scar treatment goes, with the ingredients this possesses, it is probably the best value.

My husband recently experienced a horrible 2nd degree steam burns from the radiator on the bottom of his forearm. We went to the ER where they applied some cream, wrapped it and sent us on our way. We used Alocane burn for the next 3-4 days to help ease the pain and heal the burns especially where the blisters were popped and there was raw skin. 1 week after the burn was still very red and looked pretty rough so we thought we would try Alocane's scar gel since the burn gel works so well. He applied before bed and when he woke up the next morning the skin was pink instead of red. Each day he applies it before bed and it's getting better and better. Thanks for such an amazing product!

I had a long zipper like scar from back surgery. Repeated (daily) use immediately after bathing reduced a thick scar to a thin line. It has also faded dark marks on my skin. I haven’t noticed a strong odor I hadn’t bought any for a while due to a substantial price increase. I noticed that the price down about 45% so I bought three. I miss the flip top cap though.

This stuff stinks! It’s seriously awful! I bought it for a scar on my elbow from surgery 2 months ago and I honestly couldn’t keep it on because it was turning my stomach. The smell is as if a massive chemical plant was next to an onion farm and someone bottled the air in between. I tried, I did. I had it on for 20 minutes and I had to scrub my arm and my hands because I couldn’t deal with it anymore.The smell lingered for a whole day.2 stars because I didn’t try it long enough to see if it actually works.

This is the best thing I have ever used for acne facial scars. I literally cannot be without this. Just ordered my 5th one. If you have scars, you must try this!!!! Put a dab on scar and cover overnight...try this for several days and scar will diminish. Clean and air out scar during the day and be sure to moisturize. The onion extract and silicone are main ingredients and is found in medical dermatology white papers as a scar remedy along with colloidal silver.

It's mostly silicone which is what helps scars fade according to medical research.The expensive scar cremes are just a hustle, stick with what's proven.There's no bad smell to mine and it applies easily.

Definitely cuts down on the itching for my back which is riddled with scars and damage from multiple back surgeries. My only complaint is that it stinks and has a very 'greasy' feeling so you never feel like you are able to clean it off your hands after applying.

I've been using silicone cream for post surgery scars. The texture is good on this one, dries quickly, not sticky, but it smells bad. Thankfully I don't use too much at time.
