My daughter thinks the world of it...and so do my cats.
Two things to note, the balls are made of a very very dense, firm foam and the poles are plastic that has a bit of give. This told me two things. The poles and balls must be assembled to each other BEFORE you build the tent. DO NOT lean on the pole from above to try to push it down together, the poles will bend. Not a dent bend, but a bow. This also told me straight away that it needs to be a series of lighter sheets or one dense sheet as the poles may bow over time. The holes on the balls are tight, not too too tight, but tight enough my 5 year old could not assemble it alone and tight enough it was like I was swinging from my old school monkey bars for too long. My hands burned for a bit after. It was rough. BUT! And it is a very key thing to this entire plot...My kid told me she wanted a castle. I built her a castle. I used all the balls and had spare poles. The structure is sound...except when facing cats. I have twice now had two cats jump on the sheet thinking its a stable surface and pull the whole sheet down with them in it. The tent remained and we got a good laugh out of it. If you have no pets, clips may work. Due to the pole bend potential, I do not recommend them if you have pets. Before I had the sheet on it my daughter was already bringing in toys, a light, pillows and a blanket. The build possibilities are endless with a little elbow grease. I will be buying a second box. This is a wonderful setup.

Such a great toy for imaginative play. Highly recommend!
This fort builder set is absolutely amazing! The pieces are sturdy, easy to connect, and the possibilities for building are endless. It kept the kids busy for hours, sparking tons of creativity and teamwork. We had so much fun with it that I ended up buying sets as gifts for friends — and they’ve all loved it too! Such a great toy for imaginative play. Highly recommend!

My poor hands.
I do not have delicate hands, but the constant twisting to get the poles into the balls gave me blisters. Young children can’t build this, so if you get this for your child that doesn’t have adequate strength to put this together, you’re doing it all mom and dad. Definitely an activity to plan on doing together and not something to buy to keep the kids busy. But on a more positive note, you can get really creative with building with these things. The quality seems pretty good. My three yr old had been bending and hitting things with the pole and nothing broken yet! It’s a wobbly fort, so be sure to use light coverings if you plan on enclosing them. My five year old is unable to put the poles in the balls securely. You need I bit of force to twist them and make sure they’re snug. It comes with a storage bag which is super handy. Mostly easy to use, but like I said, younger children will definitely need assistance.

Adult assembly, encourages creativity and imaginative play
This is great for my 5&6yr olds. It requires some adult assistance in assembling- which I figured I would do this with them anyway. My kids love building forts out of cushions and blankets so this is fantastic for everyone. They can have their forts and we can have our couches!

Nice but not strong enough!
I bought these for my kids to make forts but I just don’t think they’re sturdy enough to hold a blanket especially if you decide to make a decent size fort. I thought they were made out of metal but it’s plastic so the bend with weight. Other than that they’re easy and fun to use and it comes with a bag so it’s easy to store and doesn’t take up much space.

Fun and Versatile Toy!
This product was a lot of fun for our winter days stuck inside. It allowed my kids to be creative and have their own unique space to play. It was too hard for my kids to put together by themselves (5 and 4) so assembly was 100% on me, but if you have older kids they may be able to do it by themselves. You will need a Large sheet like king or bigger or two to drape across. I did not have this and used blankets. I don’t recommend this because it adds too much weight. The instructions come with a lot of different ideas of things to make which is fun but you will need an adult or older kid to figure out each step. Overall it’s nice that you can build it, play, take it down and create something new. I do wish the instructions were more descriptive with each step, the wording was a little confusing. Overall I would say because of versatility and creative play it’s a 5 but for instructions and putting together I would say 4.
