Love this mat!
I purchased this mat simply because of the price without knowing what a terrific mat it is. I have another mat this size and one smaller, and they are both pretty soft. I used the largest one to set my new sewing on and needed a new one. I bought this one because of the price and at first I was dismayed because it was so hard. However, upon using it I found out this is a big plus. It irons better than my other ones and is easier to handle. I've used it for several weeks now and it is as good as new. I highly recommend it!

It’s just the right size for my sewing table
I like. Works well for little projects. I rarely have to pull out the big one.

WOW....Love this Mat!
This mat is perfect for my projects. It holds the heat and makes really nice folds. There was/is no smell from the first use either and I'm glad about that. So many do smell. I like the interlocking possibilities too.

Reliable and works as expected
I've been usng it for a while and I have no complains, except for really high iron temperatures. It seems to stick on the iron but since I have and old iron, not sure it's the product problem, or I should by a new iron. Other than that, I recommend it.

Just a perfect size
Even though I use 140 lb. weight watercolor paper, sometimes the painting will "wave" a bit. Carefully pressing the painting will take care of that. The wool surface is just perfect! Not too hard...not too soft and I can simply press the painting in a small space!

Another bitter disappointment
This is yet another unfortunate purchase that I regret. Like another reviewer stated, I don’t believe this is wool. It burns on lower heat settings. I have barely even used this and you can see all of the marks in it already. My third picture shows how it’s warped which makes it hard to press accurately. My second picture shows a big difference in texture on the surface of one side versus the side with all of the iron marks and indents. They clearly stated in the description that this does not shed - that was a lie. It absolutely does shed so do not try to press any light colored fabric on it. Either way, you are going to have little pieces of … whatever this mat is made out of… all over your fabric. They also stated that heat does not go through it which is another lie. It does. If you’re thinking of putting this on your desk near your machine by itself, don’t. It needs to be set on either an ironing board, mat, or some kind of heat safe surface which makes this pointless. I should have returned it but I had lost the wrapper and didn’t want to deal with it.If, like me, you are trying to be efficient in a smaller sewing area then spend a little more money and purchase a legit, stand alone pressing board like the June Tailor cushioned Quilters Square ‘n Blocker or one of their duo pressing and rotary cutting boards. I wish I had known they existed before buying things that don’t work. It would have saved me quite a bit of money in the long run.
