Wilwood 340-13834 Brake Pedal (Swing Mount Single Master Cylinder) 14.3 Inch, Black

I have an '84 Suburban 4x4 that was converted from the diesel to a big block '68 396 out of a Chevelle. When the previous owner did the conversion he left the Suburban's stock 700R4 in. Well the poor tranny couldn't handle it and killed 2-4th gear. In my infinite wisdom I decided to convert the Suburban to a Muncie 4 speed manual. Well as with all conversions there were alot of things that didn't go right. Getting clutch linkage to line up was one of them. I ended up buy this pedal, having a shop adapt my firewall by welding some extra material with a smaller pass through hole where some old unused wiring ran through. We then mounted this pedal in that location. It fits great! We ran it to an individual hydraulic master cylndier which then fed a slave cylinder down on the transmission which actuated the shift fork. I got my Suburban running and now I'm crawling in the woods with a manual.

not a fan of the snap rings used - replaced both with Clevis Pins to allow the petal to be remove for adjustments, & easier install

This was such an easy solution to adding a clutch pedal to my car that was never designed to have a manual transmission. The best part is it is a quality part, durable, and for a VERY affordable price.

great aluminum pedal, get exactly what you pay for

Used this in my 68 c10. The price was acceptable but the quality isn’t what I expected from Wilwood. It’s a universal pedal but is extremely difficult to use anything but a wilwood master. The c clips that hold it together are cheap and cheesy and it’s just not user friendly.
