Need a new sauce or way to improve boring old pasta dishes? Doesn't get much better than this sauce. I typically grill some chicken (you can even buy pre-cooked chicken from Whole Foods or Mom's Market which makes this literally a 5-minute dream sauce!) with some Herbs De Provence to season, a little garlic powder then adds some sliced black olives. Warm up the sauce (I use a couple of cans typically) and then a few minutes before adding the cooked pasta, add a short pour of cream (optional) -- then toss in al dente cooked pasta into a hot pan and let it blend into a wonderful dish that is phenom that night for dinner but also amazing the next day(s) with a simple quick reheat in a skillet. There are many variations to this dish and feel free to cook in some onions, mushrooms, etc. -- whatever floats your boat. My daughter can be a picky eater and she absolutely loves it (although takes out the chicken and puts it on my plate).In terms of pastas that work well with it -- use one with "ridges" vs smooth pasta, as helps sauce adhere -- Penne is a top choice for us as well as Campanelle, Conchiglie along with Creste di galli -- for traditionalists, Rigatoni also works but being such as a hearty sauce, we like a smaller piece typically.You WILL NOT be disappointed!
