The best by far
I have only been using this for a month, but can honestly say it is so much better than any other charger I have owned for a couple of reasons, firstly it has different charge speeds, slow (about 2 hours) which is better for your batteries, and fast (about one hour) which is better if you need your batteries sooner. However, it's greatest feature is the reconditioning charge where it discharges and recharges your batteries, so they are reconditioned, it has even got batteries I thought were ready to be recycled back to life.**UPDATE**I have now been using this charger daily for the last 3 years mainly charging Eneloop aa and aaa batteries and it has behaved flawlessly, it still works like new, in fact I am that pleased that I am going to buy a second one as my battery needs have increased enough to warrant two banks of chargers, I currently have the charger recharging 32 batteries every day and have to charge each of these twice daily. This item may seem expensive, but for anyone who charges a lot of batteries, this is the best charger on the market. I have had a few others that charge as quickly, but they have all resulted in shorter battery life.

Great AA/AAA charger - don't skimp and suffer with a lesser quality charger
Returned the KooPower charger since the capacitors inside produced an audible high pitched noise during charging... I knew this one would be better from the start but hesitated at the cost. Took the plunge and don't regret a thing. This charger is well-built, and itself doesn't get hot at all (done soft charges so far with about 50 batteries), just warm. The power supply does get a little hot however. It's fairly easy to operate: just press the soft or conditioning mode button within 5 seconds of inserting a battery on the left slot (starting with none) until it shows up on the LCD and you're off. One improvement would be adding a backlight to the LCD screen, other than that no problems.

Serves it purpose but not fully satisfactory
This is a Taiwan made product. The quality of the plastic case and the LCD display is inferior to the Sony charger with LCD display I have been using for over 6 years.Sony's new charger does not have LCD display. Looking for a good replacement. The pros are: Individual display for each charging battery will be turn off after full charge. The default quick charge is quite fast as compared with the Sony charger I am still using. It can charge 8 cells at the same time. The cons are: High price for the quality of the case, adaptor, and, cable of this product. External adaptor, a little bit bulky and takes up foot space. Heat developed in the charger unit and the adaptor after use for 5 minutes, though not excessive. Still exploring how to charge the smaller AA bateries.Overall, it charges quite fast serving its purpose well but not fully satisfactory.

Very good tool
I did some research after watching a webinar about flash systems for the canon speedlites. It was recommended that this kind of charger was used with memoryless batteries that would hod the charge for long periods of time. I have used the charger for a while now, and it seems to be doing a very good job. The fact that it seems to take care of everything itself by plugging the batteries in and telling you when it has done it's job is the selling point to me. We all have enough to be dealing with in life, and delegating a job to a tool without the need to babysit it wins for me.

An impresive charger!
I have been using this 8 battery charger for the past six months and it chargers batteries up really fast. I love the fact that I can slow charge them or even give them a recycle charge if I am not in a rush to use them. The later can take about 20-30 hours, but it seems to be worth it.I am impressed and it has charged a few batteries that were so low, that a few of the other chargers could not charge up. Pretty slick really!

Poor.
One of the worst displays I have seen on any product. It is impossible to see what the status of each battery charging is. Or indeed if it is charging at all. In fact I have gone back to using my old 4 battery charger as even though the screen says done on the MAHA my kids toy train barely completes one lap before grinding to a halt. All I keep seeing albeit faintly on the screen is a flashing 'DONE' and I feel I have been because this is an expensive product.

This charges very fast and doesn't heat the batteries up like the others
I have 4 different chargers. This charges very fast and doesn't heat the batteries up like the others. Being able to put in 8 at a time is a real time saver. The only negative is the display is v difficult to read, but not a biggie.
