New Unit is defective
My original furnace inducer fan A171 was constantly running when the thermostat was set to off or it would take 20 minutes for the burners to kick on when set to heat. Had the service tech come to the house and told me I need a new A171 inducer because the motor was getting hot and drawing over 1.4 amps (should be .7) and I needed a new flame sensor. So I bought this A171 and the item came quickly and it was packaged very well.Once the A171 unit was installed I was having the same issue, so after some research, I bought a new control board.Once the new control board and A171 unit was installed it seemed to be working, but now my burner would not start. So I removed the combustion chamber cover to make sure the new flame sensor was connected properly, and it was. I left the cover off and started the furnace. The furnace kicked on, the pressure switch closed, and the burner kicked in.Once the combustion chamber cover was on, the pressure switch would open and the burner would shut down. I thought I had a blockage in the fresh air intake, so I checked that and nothing was blocking the airflow. I even took the hose off the A171 from the pressure switch and sucked on it to close the pressure switch. I put the old A171 inducer fan back in, put the combustion chamber cover back on, and the furnace is working like normal!!! Thank you sweet baby Jesus. I live in upstate New York and it's 5 degrees out and I have been without a furnace for 6 days!!!In conclusion.....The new A171 unit isn't creating enough pressure or suction in the combustion chamber to close the pressure switch to start the burners.CSH didn't have an option to replace the unit, so I must return it and buy another unit, which is not a big deal. Let's just hope another unit will work. If it does, I will update my review and rating.

It's nice to be warm again
Furnace went out and it was obvious from the smell that the induction motor was cooked. Touched the motor and it was very hot. Yep, it's dead.Ordering from Amazon meant another day in February without a furnace so I looked to purchase locally. Local dealer wanted 256 dollars more for the unit alone, plus I suspect about 200 dollars for service and installation. We toughed it out and waited another day for this to arrive from Amazon. By waiting and doing it ourselves we believe we saved at least 450 dollars. The installation was very easy and took about 15 minutes. I will say that the furnace does sound a bit louder and vibrates a bit more, but not much in either case. When you hear your furnace run over a 13 year period you do notice any slight changes. I did double-check to make sure everything was tight and symetrical on the install and it looks fine. I hope this unit lasts the 13 years the first one did.I was told by the local dealer that these motors are getting harder to find because the furnace unit itself is near the end of it's lifespan. Not sure if that's actually true or not.

psssssh, who says ya gotta be HVAC certified to put this in. Saved myself hundreds from having someone come and replace mine. Time will tell if I put it all in correctly.

Very quiet, works great!
Exact replacement for the motor that burned out on my 17 yr old furnace. Removing the old one and installing this new one was easy. I was concerned with some of the reviews stating the motor was loud but for me it is very quiet. I’m very happy with this product.

Replaces the old noisy motor and is quiet.
Just follow the instructions and it is easy to install. Make sure that your motor matches this one. Often, by the time this motor goes, it is time to change the whole furnace. So maybe have your furnace checked out once in awhile just in case.

A perfect replacement for FASCO A170 blower
We have a 14 year old KeepRight furnace. After several days of making "funny" noises the blower died. I was hesitating a bit because our blower model was Fasco A170, even Fasco does not list those two blowers as interchangeable. But after comparing the pictures and the sizes I decided to order it. I ordered it Friday evening and it was delivered on Monday afternoon. It took me 10 minutes to replace it. I paid $320 CAD with next day delivery. Compare that to a quote I was given by a repair shop - almost $800. Amazon "saved" our Christmas. I am very happy with their service and the prompt delivery.

Fast delivery
Delivery arrived 3 days earlier than Amazon estimated. Easy to install, only took 15 minutes. Yet, had ordered the same product previously and only lasted 2.25 years. Hopefully, this one lasts longer.

Poor quality. A complete waste
It started making noise after 1 month of usage, then became extremely noisy after the second month. Original part lasted 10 years. This one is going to die really soon. Do not wast your time and money on this.
