Dont waste ur money author has no idea what there talkin about one exap is they say greatdanes dont jump well my full blood reg great dane jumps over my 5ft chain link fence no prob and so on

I found this book pretty basic and lacking of indepth information. I wanted something that offered a more comprehensive overview of the breed and their care, but found this book to be no more informative than a basic Google search about Great Danes. I purchased this book used for a very low price and recommend others to do the same if they plan on purchasing, or visit your local library for this one- it's a quick read.

Great book on great danes. Love it! Great pictures and good information on the breed. Wanted to learn more about them and this helped. Will be getting more books on great danes in the future.

At the time I was a new momma of a beautiful male Merle Great Dane named Duke. This book helped me so much. Danes are so different then any dog. I recommend this book to any new Dane parent. I've even loaned my book out to other friends who were new parents. That's how satisfied i am with this book. This was my very first ordering off of line and I'm pleased with amazon.( we now have 3 Great Danes )

This is a great book for first time dane owners.... preferably to be read BEFORE you get your puppy, or before you even decide to put a deposit on one. Great Danes are a wonderful breed, but there is a lot about them that people don't know... Like just HOW BIG they are- or will be.Great illustrations and a nice reference for later on!

Lots of information

For a potential Great Dane owner like myself, I found this book very informative. It gives you information on where to search for your new puppy to what to look for if you are looking for either a show or non-show dog. Tells you what to expect in the beginning years and all the other nuances of being a brand new dog owner.It opened up my eyes and has me doing even greater research to prepare me for the cost and responsibilities of owning one of these big majestic dogs.

I read this book in an afternoon, but could use it frequently for reference. Great for those considering a Dane. Author presents a well-rounded book about care of Danes as well as promoting the larger-than-life responsibilities that go with owning a Dane. I thought the author did a great job describing the nature of a Dane and the essential need for training a breed this size.Overall, good book for new owners and good refresher for anyone who hasn't owned a dog in a while.

I was hoping for a book which would give advice and information specific to the quirks of a Great Dane. Whilst there were some useful generalised points (they like to lean on people and don't like leaving on their own too much) I was very disappointed that there was little in the way of information from experienced owners who had trained Danes and/or adopted or taken in a rescue case.

Quick delivery. A very useful book to read prior to purchasing this breed, however it is aimed at the American market so not all etails are relevant

Good manual but do not like the pics of Danes with cropped ears. It is barbaric and commonplace in USA. It was present for husband and he found photos quite upsetting.

We have 2 great danes - so worth the read
