Love the game, but didn't work
This game did not work on my Windows 7 64-bit system. I searched online for some fixes, but none of them worked. Luckily, I have an old system running XP and it works fine on it. I didn't dock the game any stars for this as it's an older game and you expect some of them not to work on newer systems.The game itself is awesome. Not quite as good as Homeworld 2, but better than the original. The campaign is really good, but the AI can be a bit one dimensional which makes it easy once you get the hang of it. A really fun series though if you like this kind of game.

Good Game
I enjoyed this game but it is not homeworld. The story behind this game was terrific and would keep you playing for hours. As far as game play it was easy to gather hordes of resource and ships are cheap. Having a limit on my fleet through Source Units is a good idea but does take some getting used to, But I could not figure out why I never had to refuel any of my ships? Cataclysm is worth the money and I will keep playing it but I still have the first Homeworld within easy reach. By the way Cataclysm is XP compatible.

Another great old game.
Cant wait for the people at Sierra to wake up and see the potential for this game and Homeworld to be great again.

This is my favorite of the series
This is my favorite of the series.It ups the ante of the original game with new mechanics and a more intricate story, but it avoids the pitfalls of its successor by not getting to big for its britches, as many attempts to conclude a series do.I am sad that this will not likely be remastered like Homeworld and Homeworld 2 are slated to, but if you can tolerate old games, and you enjoy some truly-3D real-time strategy, then I cannot recommend this game highly enough.

Love it to this day.
Max rating to any Homeworld game. Loved this series when i was young, had to own copies again. Can't complain about quality as per its age, but in its day it was groundbreaking gameplay. TO THIS DAY no other game has matched its gameplay style effectively or been able to be as fluid. Graphically it was also impressive for its time!
