TOO DESCRIPTIVE
The only good thing about this book was that it was a good idea. There were very descriptive and inappropriate scenes and it just wasnt a good book. A word of advice; don't read this book until you're AT LEAST 30.

this book is great for a variety of people
second chance brings out the dull, painful reality of anybody's dreadful past. chloe and logan fight for their chance. ig sons leans towards all or nothing. cloe runs, usually. but logan tends to stand his ground in tough situations. this makes them an amazing, yet stubborn couple. of course, having your ex come back from the dead to find out you've screwed his brother is not really the best reunion, but jace eventually learns to accept chlogan. a hit and run is terrible to survive. chloe does though, despite the ups and downs.this story is a twisted, unpredictable, set of events, lined up perfecty. the whole thing revolves aaround struggle, guilt, pain, hardships, and acceptence. it keeps you up until dawn, speeaking of wich, i should get to sleep. its an outstanding page turner with unexpected turns designed to push all boudries.100% recommend.

Decently written, but repetitive, drunk, and angsty.
I'm good with romance after tragedy, and unlikely couples that may actually be too-likely couples. Back and forth while they figure out whether or not they like each other? Sure, as long as it's entertaining. This one, however, just didn't work for me. One brother dies, one is left longing for his brother's girl, interspersed with lots of alcohol. Said girl is attracted to the remaining brother but doesn't know what to do.... But hey, alcohol! I didn't touch a drop and feel hungover from the 40% of the book I read before I realized I don't really care what happens to the characters. Per other reviews, there are some very seXXXy scenes, but I didn't make it to them. An example of the writing, which is decent but too drawn out for my liking: "Her lips were facing me, soft and ready, and I wanted to attack them more than I wanted anything else. She might scream if I just went for it. If she shoved me off, I could pretend I was still half-asleep and disorientated, speaking a load of rubbish that wouldn’t make sense, so she would think I was sleep-kissing. I was acting like that thought hadn’t ever entered my mind. Every time I had a drink, I’d want to kiss her, so I could blame the alcohol if it went wrong. The thing that would stop me was the possibility that it could be awkward after. I didn’t want that with Chloe. I wanted everything with her."

This was a great book
This was a great book. But I don't think I have read a book by Natasha Preston that wasn't great. I honestly can't wait to start reading the next book I can honestly say that reading is my addiction. I was in shock when Jace came back into the picture and then Chloe got hit by a car it was definitely a page-turner and made it to where I didn't want to put the book down. The book was great but I was definitely sad to see it end.

I mean I finished it
I'm not really sure what to say about this book. It seemed pretty unbelievable and I feel like it could've been done slightly better. That being said I didn't HATE the book. I finished it pretty quickly and I do like Natasha Preston's books. The "surprise twist" Seemed kind or unrealistic to me. However I will admit it hooked me into finishing the book!

Boring.
I really didn't like it that much. Natacha Preston goes on and on brooding over the same themes. Very boring. However, strongly sex addicted persons will learn a few things on how to make enjoyable love to women.

Holy emotions!! What a journey!
Wow wow wow!! What an absolute rollercoaster of a journey these characters have!As i now expect when i read a Natasha Preston story things are never quite what you think they are going to be... theres always a shock or an OMG somewhere thrown in when you least expect it!Chloe has had her life thrownil into turmoil when the teenage love of her life is killed by terrorists while on a school trip... she hits rock bottom and just cant bring herself to carry on...Jace has been gone for 2 years when his brother Logan decides enough is enough and physically drags Chloe out of bed and demands she carries on with her life.Come forward one year and things are starting to change between them both... im not giving any spoilers but i can say this heart felt emotional journey is a must read for everyone absolutely loved this from word one until the very last sentence!

A five star must read!!
This book is just everything I could have asked for and more. This is actually my second time of reading it, but since I first read it prior to my reviewing days I wanted to re-read and have my thoughts about this book fresh in my mind before writing this review. This was a story that had me on that emotional rollercoaster from the very beginning. I could feel the struggle that Chloe had getting over losing her boyfriend Jace especially in such horrendous circumstances. It was wonderful to watch Chloe coming to terms with her loss and start moving on with her life. But what I was so emotionally connected with was the quandary that she and Logan went through when they realised and accepted their feelings for each other, all to well aware that their situation was very unusual and a relationship together could cause upset and hurt for others.I think it is impossible to not love Logan. He struggled himself when Jace died and also with his own feelings towards Chloe. I actually feel so proud of him for how he managed to change direction from the path of self destruction he was following and for his maturity in handling situations and caring for others before himself. He's a fabulous character and as I indicated, one you will fall for without a doubt. There is nothing about this story that I would have changed had I been the author. The story line, the characters and the emotions that I felt throughout were all amazing. I'm so glad I took this 'Second Chance' to read this book..... I would totally recommend this heartfelt and emotional second chance story to you all.

Started good. Soo slow and torturous. Come on!! Finally. Finally yay!!! nope ugh stop with the games the guilt. More torture. Ugh. WTAF?? If it were a paper copy I’d have chucked it across the room. Torture can be enjoyable but this is just ugh. Can’t be bothered. Deletes book. Sad. Disappointed. I loved them together the writing is wonderful so beautiful but no. Just. Too much for my patience. Can’t be bothered to sit through anymore after reveal and another spanner.

A really different love story.
This was a beautiful story which may tip the scales for some people but I really enjoyed it. Chloe lost her teenage boyfriend in a London bombing and 3 years later is finally ready to move on. Her biggest healer was her dead boyfriend, Jace's, brother Logan, who picked her up and helped her be herself again. In return Chloe helped Logan overcome his guilt and drinking problem. The only issue is how Logan has been in love with Chloe since the moment they met, but because he was a little older never made any attempt to make her his, so he watched his brother make her happy until his death, but what happens when you start to see things differently? Chloe starts to notice Logan more and more, and regardless of how hard they try to fight it, love pulls them back to each other. Will that be their HEA? Or will forces want to pull them apart? This story was great, amazing dialogue, great characters, beautiful love story, lots and lots of angst. It enters into a grey area but it was lovely and I would recommend.

Okay read
When Jace died in a bomb explosion Chloe took three years to get back some sort of normality and she only did it with the help if his brother Logan. Gradually they both learned how to live again and an attraction began to grow until they became a couple. Logan told her how much he had wanted her whilst his brother had been alive. They were both shocked when Jace returned having been in witness protection and then who does Chloe choose. Both of them love her.
