Since lockdown like many others working from home has become the norm. My home office has had some upgrades to sound/video with plenty of poly kit. The sync 20 has surprisingly good playback sound. Voice is clear with plenty of depth. I was surprised at the quality of music playback. It’s not stereo but good mono. The issue is fundamentally microphone quality. Hit and miss. 50% other side is going to hear me sounding like in a fish tank and ask if I am using my laptop mic and kindly request I switch over to a headset. It has three mic’s and from my testing poly do a better job than most at noise cancelation and beam forming. However, bottom line is I still return to a headset with a boom microphone. You just sound much better on the other side. The other annoyance is it auto connects to my smartphone and poly don't have an option in the hub software to disable this. The speaker also annoyingly talks when powering up, down and again I cant disable this or the white led bar when powered on. Come on poly release a new firmware with these options!Would I buy again? Personally no, save your money and use it towards a high quality headset. PC or BT speakers alone can be had for much less alone.

Great for Teams Calls
I bought the speaker specifically for 2 reasons, computer sound as my monitors don’t have speakers, (connected to my PC) and for Teams calls with my work laptop to give me a break from headphones at home.I plug the speaker into my laptop (usb-a) so I’m not worrying about having to charge it. Call quality is excellent, no noise distortion or dropping off calls. Teams picked up the speaker straight away, letting me know I could mute, leave calls and raise my hand all from the speaker itself. Very happy, and feedback from those i have been in meetings with is clear sound and no echo.I used the dongle to connect the speaker to my pc. Good enough for computer sounds, watching YouTube and listening to music. Just note it shines in voice calls, clarity and great bass, it’s not a dedicated speaker for music etc, it’s okay but buy something else if your primary use is for high quality playback.
