Great Buy
I bought this for my 81 year old Aunt and it’s great! easy to use, decent size buttons, volume is loud enough for her. The best thing about this phone is the emergency button on the back, rapidly press the emergency button 3 times and it sends a message to 3 of your chosen emergency contacts and rings them one after the other (this puts our mind at rest!) overall great product!

AN EXCELLENT DUMBPHONE WITH A RUBBISH CAMERA
Originally got a Doro 6620 because I could no longer read texts on my Nokia. My first Doro did 5 years of good service, would still be using it but it was 3G. The 4G 6820 is almost identical but greatly improved. Nicer feel to buttons, simpler more logical navigation. Also both halves are white on the inside, on the 6620 the back was white and soon looked scuffed. Quality build of Swedish electronics, this device makes no pretence of almost being a smartphone. Adding stuff like Facebook is like adding indicators to a bicycle, it's still not a car. One thing they haven't improved is the worst camera in the history of photography - don't even think about taking photos unless your life depends on it. But for an old bloke with bad eyesight who just wants to make phone calls this is brilliant. Well chuffed.

Much too complicated to use.
This 'phone was bought as a replacement for my old 2G Doro that I had had for 7 plus years and was so easy to use. The newer 4G model is so complicated and difficult to use. I asked a tech savvy person to try and send a text. It took him 20 mins. He found four different ways, none of them obvious and each involved multiple buttons and much scrolling. I don't think an older person could cope with it. I couldn't. Although the camera is not overly important it would be nice to have one that took half decent pictures. Nothing about this 'phone has been improved since the old versions. Also I don't think is right that Doro are still selling the 2G 'phones when the networks will almost be discontinued this year. To paraphrase Jane Austen's Mr Knightley 'Badly done Doro, badly done'. I have given it 1 star as I received a refund.

A great flip phone - and good for flip phone beginners!
I've had mobile phones for years, but never had a flip phone before - this is my first one. It makes a good first flip phone for someone. I'm very pleased with it. The ringtone and text message alert tones are loud - that is good if you are deaf - and can be altered in volume. The display is portrait way round and also large and that is good because having had other Doros with the display landscape way round it means I can often see the whole text in one go without having to use up and down arrows. The phone has Up, Down, Left and Right arrows which makes texting and navigating easier as a lot of Doro models only have Up and Down arrows on their phones and not Left and Right which can be confusing. When texting in Messages - 'Write' you can easily jump between the Number box and the Text message box with the Up and Down arrows, meaning you can type the text first if you want to and then jump back up quiet easily to the Number box at the top with just a few presses of the Up arrow. This smooth flow when texting is missing on the Doro Leva L10 but thankfully the Doro 6820 has it and makes texting much easier. The camera picture quality is o.k, but nothing special. I had a Doro 1370 which I had to give up because of the 4G changeover and it had a 3MP camera and the photo quality was good and surprisingly sharp. On this Doro it only has a 2MP camera. The zoom option is a let down and doesn't zoom in and out very far - in fact the zoom is rubbish. I was surprised by this as on the Doro 1370 the zoom feature was o.k, but on here you press it and think to yourself why bother! Also a zoom option to zoom in on photos after the photo has been taken would have been a good feature but this Doro doesn't have that. All the usual copy/move rename file options are present in the Doro 6820 but hidden in 'Edit'. It takes a microSDHC memory card. The sound quality with calls is excellent. It sounds very good on 4G.When closed the red light on the front lid flashes when the battery power is low, but it could flash a bit faster. You have to wait for it to flash again so it is easily miss-able. The green light flashes when there is a text to read. You can also set it to remind you if a text has been received but not read and it beeps again a few minutes later to remind you. This is something I've only experienced with Doro mobiles and the 'reminder' option for texts is an excellent feature.Having had flat phones in the past with keypad locks meant having to switch the keypad lock on and off everytime the phone was in my pocket and being used, but with the Doro flip phone the phone doesn't need a keypad lock and so when the phone is closed up and in my pocket no buttons are being pressed! With the flip phone I don't need to keep switching the keypad lock on and off all the time and this feels liberating for me. You may also find this liberating if you've never had a flip phone before. All in all a great little flip phone with calculator, FM radio, torch, calendar etc. I would recommend.

Decent phone with serious charging issue
The phone itself is as described. It is easy to use, although the way the use of the 'OK' button is signalled could do with improving. Unfortunately, the charge indicator is something of a nightmare.Issue one. The flashing red indicator means both 'needs charging' and 'being charged'. This is not useful in view of the second issue.Issue two. This phone seems to be unable to decide if it is fully charged or not. It will report that it is fully charged then a few minutes later report that it has only 25% charge and indicate it needs recharging. This is all very strange compared with its behaviour straight out of the box when the initial charge worked perfectly!

Great non-smart phone
Purchased for elderly friend to replace existing which needed upgrading. Perfect for older people to use. No Internet access available as its a non-smart phone. Lightweight but durable. Very easy to set up and use. Lasts a long time between charges. Good price for what it is.
