PLG 3/4" Garden Hose Quick Connect Male and female Water Hose Fittings 4 Sets

So I bought this larger pack due to the fact I have a lot of items that I use my garden hose on and wanted to make sure I had plenty to go around. I didn’t want to have to keep changing them from item to item. Now I’m going to buy another pack because they work so well.I have 3 hose bibs on my house. I also have a fresh water hose in my RV as well as a tank flush system. This pack comes with 2 ends for a hose and 4 for items connected to the hose.It is really nice to quickly connect and disconnect the hose but it really makes it nice to do this task without having to shut down the water every time. Kink the hose and just pop it off. You don’t gat wet. Quick and easy.It is also nice to have these on the RV as it make for a simple and quick connection especially for the tank flush. Connecting and disconnecting the hose in a tiny recessed box on the side of the RV is a real pain.It is true they do not leak. I haven’t had them for too long and I suppose if you left them connected together for a long time the gasket could get a permanent groove in it and it may eventually leak. They do however send along two additional replacement gaskets or washers.The items seems very well made and sturdy. The male end is on the items connected to the hose so you’re not dragging that exposed end on the concrete and marring it up which would ultimately lead to a leak. The female ens connected to the hose end has nice plastic/rubber pieces for cushion/protection if dropPed on the ground as well as a nice bit of grip when actuating the quick release.I am very pleased with these items. As I stated earlier, I will be buying more.

Works really well. I have a large yard and disconnects and hose holders work well for watering and coiling hoses for mowing. Seals well now leaks

I originally purchased these quick connects from Lowes and needed more. Lowes didn't have the ones I needed so I looked on Amazon and sure enough, exactly what I wanted and at a much better price. Perfect.

Short Version: I have 3 sets, and they have held up well- for "out" flow, but iif these will be used for a pump's INLET, beware.Buyers should realize that while this connector's "hose end" is 3/4", the other end is not ! The ends that "Quick Connect" are only 1/2 " inside diameter.Probably not a problem for "out flow" but be careful if using these for a pump's "inlet". If the pump inlet calls for "3/4 inch MINIMUM", using these connectors, is NOT in compliance, and I've had both plumbers and pump tech support (Wayne), say that restricting the "inlet" flow to a pump, can overheat it! Most opinions I've heard say you can restrict the outflow, without pump damage, but NOT input.I am not on a crusade against sizing standards <g> , and I'll admit, I've seen this "sizing" liberty, taken on other hose menders & connectors. I only mention this, as I have a new pump, designed for a "3/4" inch inlet. I'd love to use these connectors for switching inlet sources, but I Don't dare. If you restrict outflow, you'll see right away if it's adequate for your needs. But restrict the INLET, and you probably WON'T notice a pump working too hard (and slowly overheating).JMHO

The product is well-made and reasonably priced. I use it to protect various built-in hose threads on a motor home from being damaged by malformed mating threads on campground and dump station hoses.

The media could not be loaded. I haven't used this yet but having just opened the box I noticed something I should have paid more attention to in the 1st bullet of the product description, "Without flow stopper,KEEP water flowing." This is not really as clear as it could be. What is meant is that when disconnecting these the water supply needs to be 1st shut off. This is because, unlike other products, the female connector does not have a "flow stopper". I have included some photos and videos to show what this looks like and how it works. Essentially, with a "flow stopper" valve the water pressure forces a "flow stopper" valve shut on the female connector when you disconnect the hose, thus stopping the water flow and preventing the user from getting sprayed.I will update my review if or when any of my connectors stops functioning.
