Bought three of these Samsung BAR plus in 64GB, two for key chain use, one to have handy on my desk. Made sure Amazon was the seller to help avoid any risk of non-genuine Samsung parts. Just arrived and burned each one in briefly using CrystalDiskMark, so I could both be sure each worked and compare speeds between the units. All three tested within about 2% of each other on each benchmark. Importantly, the sequential read speeds exceeded the claimed 200 MB/s in each case, averaging 224 MB/s. Writes were all 34MB/s. All tests were conducted on my laptop, a Lenovo Flex5, on a USB 3.0 port. Clearly the sequential read speeds take advantage of USB3.0 bandwidth.Overall very pleased for the price and the key chain friendly stainless steel casing. Note I did put a cover on the USB end of each, using the covers from Honbay 40pcs Semitransparent Black and Clear Plastic USB Male Anti-Dust Plug Stopper Cap Cover . I wanted just a bit more protection when used on key chains from dents and the elements. These Honbay covers fit snugly yet come off relatively easily. The Samsung BAR Plus 256GB USB 3.1 Flash Drive has exceeded my expectations in both performance and design. With impressive read speeds of up to 400MB/s, transferring large files is swift and efficient. These things are great, stylish, sturdy and for flash drives, super-fast. I installed Debian 13 on one recently to use as an emergency OS and couldn't believe how fast it was, especially compared to a dog-slow PNY "3.0" drive I also unsuccessfully tried to use for the same purposes. I've used the Bars for years and never had a problem.

128Gb version, read speed checkout at 400mb/s, but write speed only at around 60mb/s, was expecting >100mb/s. My mobo, Asus ROG CROSSHAIR X670E HERO, has USB 3.2 Gen2 USB Type-A ports. Tested on 3 ports, 2 direct and one via a Uni 4 port extender. I ordered 4 of these are they remain consistent.Nice body design and ok for the price I guess. Got it during the discount of around $12.99. Will use for OS boot, memtest and other recovery purposes.For large transfers I would look at external nvme with usb-C or Kingston 1tb for 1gbp/s read and write speed. Recommended otherwise.

Very nice for a USB thumb drive. With the 128 GB model, you'll get slightly over 400 MB/s READS. Writes are much slower at around 65 MB/s.The metal case is very nice.

Transfer speed super fast, I just keep screenshots of my games from steam on it loads onto the stick pretty much right off the bat. Quality level seems to be good, not sure if it can keep up to the level they described but for what I need it for it works good. Made of a nice metal case for protection. Plugs perfectly into USB port and works as intended to no complaints.
