Perfect addition to the dental regimen; Replaces Greenies
TLDR; Does well at cleaning and keeping breath fresh, Requires a little bit of cleanup for dogs with longer coatsMy dog Nugget has terrible teeth. She's a 12 year old Norwich Terrier (12 pounds) and like many other small dogs, she struggles with periodontal disease. Over the course of her life, she has had 13 teeth pulled and three dentals. First things first, there is no substitute for daily teeth brushing. It is a chore but once you get the routine down, it is quite easy. Our previous regimen was daily brushing, a daily Greenie and an occasional bully stick whenever we noticed her breath starting to smell. We were introduced to OraVet by our vet who gave them to her after her most recent dental where she had 1 tooth pulled. They claim to have a foaming agent which helps clean teeth better. The consistency is a bit like a piece of hard rubber or stale taffy; just a bit harder than a greenie. Nugget isn't a picky eater but she does love these. They seem to be pretty effective as we haven't noticed her breath get bad which it usually did after a couple of weeks or so when she was on the greenies. So this has cut out our need to use bully sticks which is good because as a voracious eater, she would sometime get overly enthusiastic and swallow a short bully stick. Also, vets typically don't like bully sticks as they are hard enough to break teeth which can be dangerous. In any case, it seems to be working. On the downside, the foam gets a bit messy and can dry up pretty hard on Nugget's whiskers. I imagine it wouldn't be such a problem on dogs with short coats but for Nugget, it requires that we wipe her mouth down with a wet towel or she will have a crusty snout. Also, the foam is green and can stain so I would recommend having your dog eat it on a washable or hard surface.Other thoughts: they come individually wrapped which can be annoying to open but they maintain the moisture and freshness which is great.Anyway, highly recommended if you value your dog's dental health but still not an effective replacement for tooth brushing.

Vet Recommended This
These were recommended to me by my dogs vet, so I’m sure they are great! My dog loved the taste, but unfortunately they didn’t settle well on her stomach. So if you have a pup with finicky stomach, maybe opt for a more sensitive option.

Save vet bills
I have a dog that will not allow me to brush her teeth. So, I thought I would take a chance on these, since it says it keeps the bacteria from growing up on the teeth. I was concerned that she wouldn’t like them because she’s very finicky. However, she does like them. So we’ll see how they do. I have a second little dog that had to have some teeth out. I’m not sure if he’s able to eat these, so I have to check with the vet first. As he just had the teeth done and he healing. I certainly hope it does what it says it does because dental bills for dogs are outrageously expensive!

good stuff, helps with 'Dracula Breath'
My dog loves these treats and it helps her breath a lot. She used to have what I call 'Dracula Breath' but its way better now. (In the novel 'Dracula', he is described as having the breath of rotting meat)
